About Global 360
Through the streets and people of Toronto, Global 360 reporters explore compelling local stories that reflect global influences and deliver them using multimedia platforms. Global 360 takes a look at the process of: immigration, labour and work, informal and formal economies, ethnic identities, language, religion, urban politics, cultural capital, social interactions, oppression and aspiration.
Online news facilitates international networks and conversations and therefore, Global 360 reporters aim to build transnational connections in order to encourage multiple narratives and inter-cultural exchange.
Global 360 is a project of the JRN 906 Online Reporting class at the Ryerson University School of Journalism. The class is developed and taught by Assistant Professor Vinita Srivastava. Global 360 is under her editorial direction. Please email: vsrivast@ryerson if you have any questions or comments.
